Newly developed light emitting (glow-in-the-darkness) pigments have been widely used in Japan for a lot of different applications including brand protection.
Existing well known LumiXXX® pigments are not capable to withstand high temperature needed for polycarbonate processing whereas those brand new light emitting pigments have been used for polycarbonate’s covers of conventional and LED luminaries. Even when light is switched off a cover still emits enough light to be visible for twelve hours.
